Each course presents detailed information on boat handling and seamanship; boating regulations and safe operations; boating equipment and marlinspike (knot tying); boating charts and aids to navigation for river, lake, and coastal boating; basic boating navagation and piloting; and marine radio operation and navigational rules. The seven week courses includes navigational methods.
